Town of Rising Sun Maryland 1,000 meters and radio units will be installed under this. Start date May 24,2010. Customer notices will be mailed to all residents announcing the program. Access to homes will be necessary to install the new water meter and radio equipment. The installation takes about 30 minutes to complete during which water service interruption will occur for 5 to ten minutes. Customers are asked to have the area around the water meter clear and accessible for the meter installation technician. The Prime Contractor for this program is HD Supply, a market leader in the waterworks supply industry. HD Supply is responsible for the system integration, supply of materials and overall project management. The water meters and radio equipment being installed are manufactured by Sensus. All National Metering Services, Inc. employees are in uniform and have proper identification. All installers have had background checks completed by the State Police prior to employment.
