Approximately
55,000 meters and
radio units will be
installed during this
program. Start date
July 6, 2010.
Customer notices
will be mailed to all
residents announcing
the program. Access to
homes will not be
necessary to install
the new water meter
and radio equipment.
All water meters are
located outside of the
home in meter pits, at
or near the curb line.
The installation
process takes about 20
minutes to complete
during which water
service interruption
will occur for 5 to
ten minutes. If no one
is home during the
installation process a
notice will be left at
the property to flush
your system by letting
the water run for a
few moments.
Installers will do
this outside of your
home if a water spigot
is available and
accessible. Customers
are asked to secure
loose pets, if access
to the property is
required to replace
the meter.
