New Projects!

National Metering Services, Inc. has been awarded a contract to install a new meter system for Village of Amenia NY. Residents are currently un-metered and paying a flat rate for water service. The program is scheduled to begin in March of 2008 and is scheduled to be complete by September 2008.

 The City of Woburn, MA, has entered into a contract with National Metering Services, Inc. to upgrade the existing commercial and industrial water meters to a fixed base meter reading system. The program is scheduled to begin in April of 2008.

National Metering Services, Inc. has been awarded a contract to install high-tech water meters and reading equipment by the Village of Hempstead New York. Approximately 9,000 units will be replaced and upgraded to the new Sensus Flexnet Fixed Base Network System. The meter replacement program is scheduled to begin in mid March 2008. Certified Meter Testing has Expanded Services!

National Metering Services, Inc. owns and operates a certified meter testing facility in Kearny, NJ. In effort to meet growing customer demand for exit meter testing services, we have expanded our meter test facility. We now has the capacity to test 75 residential meters per hour. To meet demand for field testing service, a custom mobile meter testing lab equipped with a state of the art 20 station test bench has been added to our fleet of service vehicles. The mobile meter lab gives us the ability to test meters for customers on their premises and under the customers supervision if desired. For large industrial and commercial meters that are 2" compound and larger, we perform the testing service online with a portable large meter tester. All meter testing equipment has been certified the following agencies: Department of Weights and Measures in the following states, New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, Massachusetts and the State of New York Public Service Commission (PSC). Copies of certifications are provided to the water authorities we are contracted with at the beginning of a project or upon request. Certified Meter Testing.

New Services!

We now offer vacuum excavating, curb box cleaning & valve exercising, manhole & meter pit cleaning and clearing. NMS meter crews utilize the Vac-Tron field vacuum to clear and properly dispose of debris traditionally found in meter pits. We have had great success with this procedure during meter installation services performed in Florida where sand and ground water fill meter boxes. By removing the material from the meter box we reduce the risk of contaminating the customer's water line with sand, dirt or ground water.

Global Positioning System (GPS) Service is now available. Have the locations of valves, meter boxes, fire hydrants, manholes, etc. accurately recorded with state of the art GPS equipment and the skilled professionals of National Metering Services, Inc.
