Through precise metering, preventative maintenance, and adherence to best practices, the water infrastructure is managed with the same care and attention that defines every aspect of this community.

Expert Installation by Fortiline and NMS

As part of a forward-looking infrastructure initiative, Six Lakes Country Club is launching a pilot project to upgrade its water system with advanced metering technology. Fortiline Waterworks will serve as the prime contractor, overseeing the installation of Kamstrup AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) meters—a leading-edge solution known for exceptional accuracy, early leak detection, and long-term performance. Supporting the project is National Metering Services (NMS), a trusted partner bringing decades of technical expertise and logistical coordination. Together, these teams will ensure a seamless, high-quality installation process that sets the foundation for smarter, more efficient water management at Six Lakes.

Upon receiving an email notification from the Community regarding your introduction into the program, customers with commercial accounts can schedule an appointment by calling NMS toll free or by using the E-Appointments feature on our web page. Water service interruption is minimal, and the installation duration is less than 20 minutes.

Investing in Smarter Solutions: The Value of AMR Technology

As part of its commitment to modern infrastructure and responsible resource management, Six Lakes Country Club is introducing Kamstrup’s FlowIQ 2100 AMR Smart Meter — this ultrasonic meter sets a new standard for accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.

Unlike traditional systems that rely on manual readings and outdated estimation methods, Kamstrup’s  Automated Meter Reading (AMR) technology delivers real-time, automated tracking of water usage with pinpoint precision. Usage data is securely transmitted to the utility provider through wireless encrypted communication, eliminating human error and ensuring residents are billed with total accuracy. The system also enables immediate detection of irregular usage—such as leaks or abnormal spikes—giving homeowners and utility managers the ability to respond before minor issues escalate into costly problems.

Kamstrup is trusted worldwide for its engineering excellence and long-term performance. Designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions with virtually no maintenance required, it provides reliable service over decades. Its intelligent design not only supports sustainability and conservation but also enhances the homeowner experience by delivering greater control and visibility into water consumption.

By adopting this advanced metering infrastructure, Six Lakes is embracing a smarter, future-ready approach to utility service—reinforcing its dedication to operational excellence and offering residents the peace of mind that comes from knowing their water system is backed by proven, best-in-class technology.

The installation of the AMR meters is being partly managed for the Six Lakes Community by National Metering Services, Inc, (NMS).  National Metering Services, Inc. is a company with over 30 years of experience in underground utility and excavation contracting specializing in multiple meter technologies, system implementation and optimizationNMS will be responsible for the day-to-day management and installation of Kampstrup water meters on behalf of the Six Lakes Community, in NMS’s designated pilot area. Installers working on the project will carry proper badge identification and have successfully completed background checks. The installers will not need to enter residential property, nor will they be asking for any form of payment from customers. NMS installers are required to always wear uniforms and display identification badges. Their vehicles are also marked with the company name.

Water Management with Kamstrup’s Acoustic Leak Detection

Kamstrup’s acoustic leak detection technology offers a smart, proactive approach to water monitoring. By integrating acoustic sensors into AMR meters, it enables early detection of leaks, helping utilities prevent costly water loss and damage. This precision technology allows issues to be identified before they escalate, ensuring safer and more efficient water management.
